Results
from
a
coach:
You
can
expect
immediate
to
more
long
term
results
depending
on
what
you
are
looking
for.
Some
times,
within
30
days
a
major
change
can
take
place
in
certain
executives
or
individuals
while
in
others,
a
more
gradual
long
term
change
is
appropriate.
Whether
the
coaching
originates
from
the
HR
and
leadership
development
professionals
or
directly
from
executives
and
individuals
themselves
who
are
pro-active
and
aggressive
about
their
own
futures,
it
doesn't
matter.
It
should
be
directed
towards
you,
the
individual,
in
context
of
your
current
job
without
being
you
being
removed
from
your
day-to-day
responsibilities.
The
leader
is
the
one
to be
developed.
You
are
the
one
to
benefit
from
the
coach.
Whether
you
are
looking
for
independent
unbiased
&
objective
3rd
party
feedback,
guidance,
second
opinion
or
sounding
board,
sharpening
your
skills,
prevent
burn
out
and
frustration,
you
should
be
invigorated
from
the
experience.
You
are
the
one
to
soar
like
the
eagle
from
the
opportunity
allowing
others
to
envy
and
wonder
how
you
learned
so
much
so
fast.
Old
challenge
or
new
challenge,
watch
results
be
startling.
Several
Things
To
Look
For
When
Hiring
A
Coach
There
are
several
things
to
consider
when
thinking
about
hiring
a
consulting
coach.
Especially,
the
individual
executive,
the
entrepreneur
or
the
small
business
firm.
These
three
are
my
specialties.
The
first
thing
is
whether
they
are
service
oriented.
What
is
their
attitude
towards
service?
AND
their
definition
of service?
Someone
who
is
compatible
with
YOU
You
need
to
have
someone
that
YOU
can
work
with
and
be
compatible
with
as
you
will
receive
feedback,
guidance
and
be an
objective
3rd
party
sounding
board.
Make
sure
the
relationship
is
honest
with
YOU
as
the
focus.
Both
professionally,
and
personally
in
all 7
areas
of
life.
They
may
be
the
brightest
coach
out
there,
but
if
the
relationship
is
not
compatible,
you
won't
listen
nor
follow
their
guidance.
By
the
same
token,
another
coach
may
be
just
right
with
you,
yet
is
not
as
good
as
the
brightest
coach
available
and
you
will
excel
tremendously. Far
beyond
what
the
brightest
coach
attempted
to
do.
The
old
"Something
of
something
is
better
than
all
of
nothing"
adage
is
still
valid
in
coaching.
Another
aspect
you
need
to be
concerned
with
when
talking
about
compatibility
is
does
the
coach
understand
where
you
are
coming
from
at
this
moment?
Remember
that
some
coaches
specialize
in
the
super
high
net
worth
executives
while
others
are
more
modest
in
their
selection
of
individuals.
Few
deal
with
the
low
end
clientele
or
Middle
America
clientele
for a
multitude
of
reasons.
Personally,
I
prefer
the
Basket
Case
and
Middle
America
for
their
net
worth
spectrum
to
perhaps
5
million
in
net
worth.
I
have
found,
few
like
this
niche
and I
love
it.
It
really
is a
fabulous
niche,
especially
the
lower
rungs
of
it.
The
potential
is
tremendous
as
they
have
in
many
instances
been
put
down
all
their
lives
unjustifiably
and
have
grown
to
think
they
would
not
qualify
for
anything
great.
I
disagree.
They,
both
the
extremely
low-end
and
Middle
America
are
rich
in
skill
and
talent
but
that
usually
needs
to be
brought
out
differently
than
the
super
wealthy
or
even
just
the
wealthy
or
the
majority
of
potential
coaching
clients.
My
niche
-
Basket
Cases
and
Middle
America
-
just
need
someone
that
understands
their
plight
and
believes
they,
too,
can
become
someone
special.
They
are
also
much
more
fun
to
work
with
being
more
down-to-earth
practical.
Yes,
they
may
need
additional
assistance
and
maybe
some
creative
special
financing
terms
to be
affordable
[a
side
note
-
sometimes,
some
may
not
afford
NOT
to
use
the
services
of a
coach.
I go
a
step
beyond
the
normal
coach
adding
consulting
and
mentoring
to
the
mix.]
may
also
be
needed
so
they
can
afford
the
one-on-one
coaching,
but
the
rewards
for
them
and
those
they
interact
with
is
huge
and
for
me
also.
I get
a
charge
out
of
seeing
the
results
that
can
come
from
the
down
and
outers
when
no
one
else
believes
in
them.
To
me,
they
truly
are a
missing
dimension
to
society
at
large.
If
you
like
what
you
find
here
at AGS
Life
Academy,
you
would
find
even
more
with
a
one-on-one
coaching,
consulting,
mentoring
combination.
Someone
who
is
Full
Service
&
Comprehensive
Is
your
coach
just
focused
on
one
aspect
of
you
and
your
situation
or
comprehensive?
There
are
some
excellent
single
focused
coaches
available
whether
looking
to
work
for
the
executive,
the
company
hiring
the
executive
or
the
employment
agency
looking
to
raise
the
standards
of
potential
placements.
You
want
someone
tied
to
you
and
you
only.
Yet,
can
tailor
the
coaching
with
the
big
picture
in
mind.
How
the
coaching
fits
in to
your
life
style
as
well
as
your
professional
responsibilities.
And
your
life
style
can
be
divided
into
personal
vs.
family,
whether
immediate
or
extended.
Local
or
long-distance.
For
an
example,
back
when
I
sold
insurance,
I did
very
well
at
doing
so.
Yet,
when
I
took
additional
courses
to
maintain
my
licenses
and
registrations
and
in
the
process
upgraded
my
expertise
to
becoming
a
full-service
Comprehensive
Financial
Planner,
Consultant
&
Advisor,
I
found
I
could
help
even
more
tailor
the
insurance
to
the
client's
overall
financial
situation.
I did
some
of
that
as an
independent
insurance
broker,
but
once
I
learned
the
big
picture,
I
could
easily
lower
the
cost
of
their
insurance
by
using
their
other
areas
of
life.
Are
they
also
down-to-earth
humble
willing
to
help
YOU
as
YOU
need
help,
even
if
not
the
norm
for
most
consultants,
advisers?
For
example,
consider
this service
example.
In
other
words,
sometimes,
it is
wise
to
step
back
and
look
at
the
overall
picture
BEFORE
specializing
in
just
one
area
of
the
Coach's
specialty.
You
want
a
general
Coach
who
may
bring
in
other
individuals
as
needed.
But
only
one
Quarterback
with
the
overall
picture
in
mind.
Therefore,
can
your
coach
address
all 7
areas
of
life
or
just
your
professional
needs?
Be
a
truth
seeker.
